Naming convention for EMG channels

The EMG data will only appear in the report when the EMG names comply with the following rules:

  1. Each name starts with body side identification. Only “Right“ or Left” or “R” or “L” followed by “single space” or “underscore” followed by signal name is recognized by the module. For example “Right Biceps Femoris” or “L_Gluteus Maximus”.

  2. The signal names must match exactly one of the following labels:

    Biceps Femoris

    Erector Spinae lumbar

    Erector Spinae thoracic

    External Oblique

    Gastrocnemius lateral

    Gastrocnemius medial

    Gluteus Maximus

    Gluteus Medius

    Hip Adductors

    Internal Oblique

    Multifidus

    Peroneus

    Rectus Abdominis

    Rectus Femoris

    Semitendinosus

    Soleus

    Tensor Fasciae Latae

    Tibialis Anterior

    Trapezius upper

    Vastus Lateralis

    Vastus Medialis

  3. Signals will be plotted in the same order as entered to device setup.

  4. For EMG data that is collected via a Qualisys AD board (USB-2533) the prefix “EMG_” must be added to all EMG signals.

Note: EMG signals are added to the reports dynamically based on the EMG channels found in the QTM files; therefore they are not included in the report template and cannot be modified by changing the report template in Visual3D.
